Catch Up: First 5k!

In an extended effort to meet some of my personal health/fitness goals this year, I started "training" for a 5k. Meaning, I started doing walk/jog training (via SparkPeople) as a way to work out outside and build some interval training into my workouts.

We "ran" our first 5k via a virtual race on 11/4 (ran at the local track and posted our times online), and then signed up for the Dana Point Turkey Trot for Thanksgiving morning!

I had such a good time - finished in 48:32 which is not a bad time for a first 5k. We're signing up for another one in 2012, and I already have a "friend" egging me on to run a half marathon (13.1 miles - NOT doing it! LOL)
