Anyway. Anyone remember this:

Under the thick cording - the fabric + Palmer&Plesch book? From April? One of the MANY projects I planned to work on that night (and worked on NONE of them LOL)
Well, last night I finally got to work on it. I had EJ fit the tissue so I knew what I was working with, then I turned this:

Sleeve pattern (traced on waxed paper) that I split&spread to add more room...
and turned this:

My *very *first FBA (full bust adjustment) - again pattern traced onto waxed paper...
INTO THIS:

Simplicity / Built By Wendy 3835, with a full bust adjustment and widened sleeves.
The pattern still needs tweaking: I need to add about 1 1/2 inches to the sleeve (my adjustment managed to shrink part of the sleeve head), raise the back (too low partly because I had to cut some of it off to fit the sleeve!) and lower the front (it chokes me if I lift my arms), shorten the bust darts by 1 inch and maybe lower them? but I'm not sure about the lowering.
I am still over-the-rainbow THRILLED that this worked out so well! Four hours of work (which includes tissue fitting, redrawing the pattern with adjustments, and ironing all the fabric) for a fairly decent top that I could wear out of the house if I really wanted to!
I'll be making one more muslin with the adjustments before cutting it out of 'real' fabric. But I can see why this pattern has been such a hit, and once I get my 'tweaks' right I can see making many many more of these tops!
